At this particularly pivotal time in American politics, it is essential that HIV/AIDS advocates lead the way to educate our lawmakers. Join DCAP in our efforts to provide HIV/AIDS leadership! It is about the work of remaking America’s response to the domestic HIV/AIDS crisis; it is about the work of convincing our new administration to change policies and increase funding.

2009 National HIV Testing Day

Every 9 ½ minutes another person in America becomes infected with HIV. Officials from the White House, Department of Health and Human Services and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced a new five-year national communication campaign, Act Against AIDS, which highlights this alarming statistic and aims to combat complacency about the HIV/AIDS crisis in the United States.

Take Action and Get Tested for HIV
June 22 through June 26 at DCAP's office and

June 26 at the Public Library from 1-3PM

An estimated 250,000 people in the United States have HIV and are not aware of it. National HIV Testing Day is an opportunity for people nationwide to learn their HIV status, and to gain knowledge to take control of their health and their lives.
